Radio and TV presenter Pearl Modiade and ex-fiancé Nkululeko
This time last year, Modiade was whisked away on a holiday with her then beau who goes by the name of Nkululeko, who romantically popped the question to her on the ground during their helicopter ride on 15 December 2015. She recently confirmed on her radio show The Great Escape on Metro FM that her engagement is off after her fans had repeatedly asked her about the absence of her engagement ring in her pictures.
Bafana Bafana goal keeper Itumeleng Khune and fitness trainer Sbahle Mpisane
The duo came out about their break up after celebrating their first anniversary in June. Khune was reputedly dumped over social media by the fitness bunny on a post she made on Instagram the weekend after their anniversary.
TV Personality Boity Thulo and rapper Cassper Nyovest
The childhood friends from the North West are rumoured to have dated back when Boity was studying at Monash University but decided to share news of their relationship in July 2015. They became very public with their relationship, from Instagram and Twitter love posts to an exclusive piece they did together with Drum magazine, in which Cassper dished the dirt on how he went on the set while she was shooting in Mpumalanga to pop the question – officially asking her to be his girlfriend.
The rumours of their split started to do the rounds later last year, but they remained tight-lipped about these allegations. It was only in April this year, when Boity confirmed the split in an exclusive interview with True Love.
Rapper AKA ‘Kiernan Forbes’ and ‘Zinhle Jiyane’ DJ Zinhle
The couple are alleged to have started dating after AKA invited her to hang out with him and his friends at a concert in Botswana in 2012. AKA like a gentleman, offered Zinhle his jacket and they got to chatting until 4:00 and they decided to have breakfast. Posting obscure pictures on Instagram, the pair made it their mission to keep their relationship under wraps.
The couple called it quits after AKA cheated on the DJ with TV darling Bonang Matheba while Zinhle was pregnant with their child.
“A week before our daughter was born, I found out about an affair between Kiernan (the father of my child) and Bonang Matheba. I also received confirmation of all rumours through an honest conversation which I had with Kiernan, who confirmed that the affair had been going on for more than five months. I will always respect him for his honesty,” Zinhle shared on her blog.
