Cape Town – As 2017 winds down, you might need something to lift you up and give you a good belly laugh.

Good news: There are a ton of stand-up comedy shows that will tour the country for you to go watch.

We’ve made a list with something for everyone from Trevor Gumbi to Robby Collins and there's even something for those of you who might not want to decide on just one need a little more variety. 

Here are 5 local stand-up shows to watch : 

1. Trevor Gumbi Divorce Tour:

ICYMI: South African comedian Trevor Gumbi recently announced his separation from his wife of many years, Lucille. 

Soon after the announcement Trevor announced that his Divorce Tour.

2. Riaad Moosa Life Begins

Doctor-turned-comedian Riaad Moosa is in a reflective mood in his upcoming Life Begins tour which deals with turning 40 and everything that goes with it.

3. David Kau-Half Man Half Comic

David Kau is a South African comedy institution with a career spanning years and a slew of comedy tours behind him; the latest of which is called Half-Man, Half Comic.
