6 local Twitter queens you gotta follow right now

Cape Town - Everybody including your mom (okay, maybe not) is on Twitter these days. But some people are just slaying the game more than others.

Aah, the wonderful world of social media. We get to see what all the celebs are wearing, new projects they’re working on, what they had for lunch and even their adorable pets.

So without further ado, here are seven celebs who are totally winning the internet. Show them some love and give our local girls a follow, if you don’t already.

1. Anele Mdoda

This lady is not afraid to speak her mind, and no topic is ever off limits. She’s candid, crass and just everything we love.

Example tweet:

2. Tumi Morake

We just love Tumi Morake’s wit. It's crazy how she can fit all that sass into 140 characters. She will stop at nothing for a joke, even if it is at her own expense. And she doesn’t stay away from controversy either. Oooh, the shade!

Example tweet:

3. Gugulethu Mhlungu

One look at Gugu’s Twitter bio, and we’re already #dead: “Dumbledore in the street. Voldemort in the sheets.”

Example tweet:

4. Lady Skollie

Laura Windvogel, better known as Lady Skollie to those on the scene, is a visual artist from Cape Town, creating content around the themes of gender roles, sex, greed and lust.

And she just gets it.

Example tweet:

5. Gabi Mbele

Journo, Gabi, is exactly who we want to be when we grow up one day. She is the perfect mix of beauty, brains and everything in-between. And of course she tweets along to Our Perfect Wedding every week and we love her hilarious commentary.

6. Bonang Matheba

Because what would a list be without Queen B? And we’re just here living vicariously through her Twitter life. The A-list parties, Luis Vuitton shoes, crayfish suppers and those CLOTHES! Like @mandiiie_m tweeted: You slay my entire existence.
