Johannesburg - Pantsula, the energetic street-dance form that came to prominence in the 1980s, is being celebrated and documented for the first time in its history in a 200-page photobook, Pantsula: Dance 4 Life!
Currently in the crowdfunding phase of development, it is the product of more than five years of research by South African photographer Chris Saunders, dancer Sicelo Xaba and German researcher Daniela Goeller.
They came together to record the histories of Pantsula communities countrywide.
