House DJ Euphonik has criticised people for splashing out on Black Friday instead of investing their money – but Twitter users are having none of it.
In replying to the Don’t Want to be Your Friend hitmaker, Ziyanda Xakayi told him that she only had R500 – and planned to buy three pairs of “bum shorts” with that money.
“How was I gonna buy property with my R500 for at least 3 bum shorts at Cotton On tomorrow?” she wrote. “Good message, wrong day & wrong country.”
Euphonik wasn’t going to her comment lying down, clapping back at the girl for not thinking for the future.
“Talk to me in ten years when you don’t fit into your bum shorts and you’re homeless,” he tweeted.
But plenty of other users seemed to be thinking along the same lines as Ziyanda, insisting they just don’t have money to invest like him.
