Reality TV queen Kim Kardashian West has made a whopping $10 million (R141,8 million) since launching three new scents on Wednesday, according to TMZ– without buyers even getting a sniff of the stuff!

The three fragrances – Crystal Gardenia, Crystal Gardenia Oud, and Crystal Gardenia Citrus – were, oddly enough, inspired by Kim’s traumatic robbery ordeal in Paris last year, according to The Metro

Kim reportedly used healing crystals to calm her anxiety after the robbery, with the crystal now being the cornerstone of her perfume line, according to The Mirror. The mom of two was hands-on throughout the fragrance-making process – from developing the scents to creating the crystal-designed packaging.

Kim also did what she does better than anyone else: she launched a social media marketing campaign. Fashionista reports it’s the most Kardashian thing to do – then selling $1 million worth of her perfume in the first hour.

Being a social media queen too, sales rocketed without the usual traditional marketing like print ad campaigns or TV ads. All Kimmie had to do is get out her iPhone!

She’s only produced 300 000 bottles of the new fragrances – the first under her own brand, KKW Fragrance.

Shoppers required no scented magazine tear-outs, with people purchasing everything online without taking a single whiff!

It seems Kim will be smiling all the way to the bank, keeping busy until she and hubby Kanye West welcome a new daughter into the world via a surrogate in January!
