Cape Town - Miss South Africa 2019 runner-up Sasha-Lee Olivier has arrived in London, ahead of the Miss World 2019 pageant.

Fans have already identified Sasha-Lee as a hot pick for the Miss World title, taking place on 14 December.

Last year East London-born beauty queen, Thulisa Keyi's dreams were cut short when she failed to advance beyond the top 30 at the annual pageant hosted in Sanya, China.

The last time South Africa snatched the Miss World crown was when Rolene Strauss walked away with the title in 2014.

"It is such an honour to represent you all, and I carry all your warm messages in my heart! I can't wait to share the rest of this incredible journey with you," Sasha-Lee wrote on Instagram.

This is also the first time that Sasha-Lee has travelled outside of the country.

Shasha-Lee has already been able to spend time with Miss World Thailand Grace Narintorn, while she waits for the other titleholders to arrive.
