A swanky new uptown pop-up

The Union Bar in Illovo opened its doors to the public on Thursday evening as hip young professionals came to explore the new “pozi” and blow off some steam after a long day at work.

The venue has a spacious and sophisticated interior, accommodating its guests easily. The ambient music was set just right for easy conversation in a club-like setting.

Celebs who came to check out the new watering hole includedTV personality, model and blogger Kim Jayde, Yfm’s Melo Maoka, urban crooner Tresor, fashion and social blogger Melody Molale, TV host Chris Jaftha, singer Moonchild Sanelly and DJ Doowap.

The Union Bar started out in Melrose Arch in October 2012. This latest take on the classy pop-up venue showcases its brand maturity. Trendsetters, go there.
