Bonang: I promise to be back on radio soon

Johannesburg - Local personality Bonang Matheba resigned from Metro FM on Monday afternoon.

Matheba tweeted the following, "After 3 years of making magic on the Front Row, I can confirm that I have officially stepped down as the host of the show. I will miss my Metro FM family dearly, as they say all good things do come to an end....Looking forward to the next chapter of my radio life."

Now the Top Billing presenter has released the following statement to the press stating her reason for leaving.

Bonang Matheba, who has hosted the Front Row with JJ and DJ Naked for the last three years handed over her resignation to Metro FM management this afternoon after a change in the show direction and format.

"After driving the Front Row Show for the last three years I have officially stepped down from my role as the show host today. Metro FM management informed me this morning that they were approaching a different creative direction with the show which no longer aligned to brand Bonang. I will definitely miss my Metro FM listeners, but I do promise to be back soon, as you all know radio is my first love."

Bonang Matheba will soon debut her new reality show Being Bonang on Vuzu AMP.

The Juice has reached out to Metro FM for comment and will update this story with their reply.
