Johannesburg – Cassper Nyovest fans are anxiuosly waiting for the end of October to find out if the rapper can fulfill his big dream of filling up Orlando Stadium.
In an interview with Slikour in July, Cassper mentioned that he needed a whopping R25m to make his dream a reality.
Speaking to The Juice, the rapper says it has not been easy. “It’s difficult. It’s like fights, stress, trying to build this stage, and trying to put the show together. And also making sure I’m fit enough to do the things that we want to do on the night.”
Cassper says the success of his #FillUpTheDome concert in 2015 means that there’s added pressure for him to succeed this time round, he went on to say: "Judging with what I did last year, it’s so much pressure because I need to beat that if I’m gonna perform for 40 000 people. I need to make sure the performance is double what it was last year. It’s difficult but we’re definitely hanging in there, we’re giving it our all. Hopefully we’ll be ready on the night.”
Speaking about the difference between the show last year and the Orlando show, he admits many mistakes were made with #FillUpTheDome.
“There’s a lot of things that went wrong last year that we learnt from. Some people might know, some might not know. Some was on stage, there was a lot of mistakes we did that people don’t know of that we fixed on the DVD cause we didn’t have enough rehearsal time. We didn’t know what we were doing [in terms of] media coverage, merchandising, we ended up ordering less than the demand.”
Learning from his mistakes, Cassper is confident that #FillUpOrlandoStadium will be a success.
“From a professional point, or from a professional approach, we definitely are tight and we’re more experienced. In terms of the actual show it’s the same thing really, it’s just new music and better production.”
