Cape Town - Known for her incredible style, inspiring food creations and fashionable friends, TV chef and celebrated fashionista, Chef Nti has merged her two passions - food and fashion, to bring out her new range of elegant, African inspired aprons.
This time around, and in celebration of the festive season which is fast approaching, Nti went with traditional African patterns and colour palettes consisting of reds, browns and greens. The new range, Mathato - named after her mother, was inspired by the strength and perseverance of her mother and the women living in the South African townships.
"I started my first apron collection in 2014. I'm all about staying fabulous, even when I'm in the kitchen. I could never find aprons that were good enough to compliment what I was wearing. I always found that aprons would bring down my look, so I thought, I'm going to design aprons women can be proud of. It's all about restoring pride in the kitchen," says Chef Nti.
