DJ Maphorisa joins Sony Music Entertainment Africa

Johannesburg - World renowned DJ producer and serial hit maker, DJ Maphorisa joins the Sony Music Entertainment Africa family in a multi-album global deal through local urban imprint label Sound African Recordings.

"I'm looking forward to working closely with a strong team on my upcoming releases. We have big plans and I'm excited to see them all come together" says DJ Maphorisa long distance from the United States of America.

Currently in LA working on new music, DJ Maphorisa continues to fly the South African flag high. He recently performed at Afropunk and the One Africa Music Festival in New York.

Maphorisa's versatility as a producer has seen him redefine the urban music landscape across the continent by being the man behind some of the biggest hits in Africa. He has worked with both African and international superstars including, but not limited to Kwesta, Diplo, Black Coffee, Uhuru, Runtown, Wizkid, Davido, Patoranking, Yemi Alade, Jason Derulo, C4Pedro, Hugh Masekela, Don Laka, Selena Johnson, Trey Songz, Major Lazer and Drake.
