Cape Town - Local actress Enhle Mbali has publicly addresses reports that she has filed for divorce from her husband, Black Coffee (Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo).
The Broken Vows actress streamed her response on Instagram TV after Sunday World published intimate details about the couples reported divorce on Sunday.
According to the reports Enhle filed for a protection order at the Randburg magistrate court in October against Black Coffee's sister Nomalanga Maphumulo.
The couple tied the knot during a traditional wedding ceremony in 2011 and celebrated their union with a white wedding in 2018.
City Press first reported in July that the couple were allegedly heading for divorce court, citing the DJs rumoured infidelities and meddling family members as the reason for Enhle serving her husband with divorce papers.
In a statement released to Channel24 by Capacity Relations in July, the talent management company said: "We have no comment on this. We have, however, noticed some irresponsible articles being published on the issue."
On Sunday, responding on social media to the article which appeared in the Sunday tabloid newspaper, Enhle said that she had been inundated by requests for comments from journalists and that "no comment" and worked for her up until yesterday.
"I woke up today to something that was extremely personal that I had handed over to the court, that has now made it to the papers. The situation that is happening right now, in my life, is indeed happening. [sic]"
She furthermore requested space with regards to questions from the media.

"It has been a very long couple of years for me, and in all of that, all I ask is for silence. Not for me, or for anyone else, but for my children. [sic]"
She added: "Everything I have done till this day is to protect my children. [sic]" The couple share two children together. Black Coffee has two children from a previous relationship.
About her marriage, she said: "All I've ever tried to do was be a great wife. A supportive wife, one that is respectful. Not only to my partner and everyone that is around him. [sic]"
"It is indeed a situation that no one wants to see themselves in, but here we are," she said, which indirectly could confirmed the authenticity of the documents.
Enhle ended the video by reading a passage from Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's, well-known essay We Should All Be Feminists, which was adapted from her 2012 Ted Talk.
A visibly emotional Enhle, then concluded the video, by saying: "I stand today, and fight."
Black Coffee is yet to address what was said by Enhle.
