FACT CHECK: Miss SA drug rumours are false

Cape Town - In an official statement on their Instagram, The Miss South Africa organisation rubbished claims of Miss South Africa being involved in the distribution of narcotics.

Their post is in response to a fake news story that made the rounds earlier this week, that said that Miss South Africa, Ntandoyenkosi Kunene, was arrested at London's Heathrow Airport with 2kgs of cocaine.

In the post the organisation said, "The Miss South Africa organisation confirms that the online article about Ntando Kunene is false. We can confirm that Ntando is currently at her home in Johannesburg and in no way supports or is associated to the illegal smuggling of narcotics."
