FIRST LOOK: Adé van Heerden’s traditional costume for Miss World

Cape Town – Friends, family and the media gathered at the Table Bay Hotel in Cape Town on Monday morning to wish Adé van Heerden farewell on her Miss World journey.

The local beauty, who was runner-up at the Miss SA 2017 pageant, will represent the country at the Miss World pageant in Sanya, China on 18 November.

While Adè competes for the Miss World crown, Miss SA 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters will take her shot at bringing home the Miss Universe title on 26 November in Las Vegas.

Adé is a medical doctor and second lieutenant in the South African Military Health Services. She has won Protea colours in rhythmic gymnastics and will be doing a ribbon dance as part of the talent portion of the pageant.
