Cape Town – Police confirmed on Tuesday morning that four suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of Mandla Hlatshwayo.
The former Generations actor and a friend, Oupa Duma, were shot dead on Sunday night at a pub in Pimville, Soweto whilst trying to help people who were being robbed.
Acting National Police Commissioner Kgomotso Phahlane confirmed that the suspects were arrested during the early hours of the morning.
SAPS spokesperson Athlenda Mathe told News24: "As the SAPS we are pleased to report that our members have effected the arrest of four people in connection with the murder of Mandla Hlatswayo and another man in Soweto over the weekend.
"We can confirm that during the arrest, police also seized a firearm and mandrax tablets. Investigations into the matter continues," Mathe said.
