Here's what Black Coffee looks for when choosing a track to remix

Johannesburg – Not just anyone can have their song remixed by Black Coffee, but if you were hoping to achieve this feat one day, the DJ explained what it is he looks out for when deciding to do a house remix. 

“I mostly do house music remixes. What I listen to first is, can this song be a house music remix,” Black Coffee explained on Beats 1 Radio. 

The muso went on to say that if the track he is interested in cannot be a house music remix, he does not get involved, no matter how popular the song is. 

“I think the whole purpose is for the song to find exposure in a different market. When I do remixes I try by all means to keep the structure, keep the vocals, highlight the singer,” he added.
