Hugh Masekela will not perform at festival held in his honour

Cape Town - In a statement released on Friday, South African music legend Hugh Masekela announced that because of his battle with cancer he would not be making any future appearances. 

As a result he is no longer performing at The Hugh Masekela Heritage Festival on Saturday, 4 of November at Rockville Soweto’s Elkah Stadium, according to a statement released to the press. 

The festival will still continue and the lineup will include Riky Rick, Oliver Mtukudzi, Papa Penny, Bongeziwe Mabandla, Bye Beneco, Johnny Cradle, Zoe Modiga, BCUC as well as others.
