Jamie Bartlett speaks out following hijacking ordeal

Cape Town - Rhythm City actor, Jamie Bartlett was hijacked and attacked in Johannesburg on Friday.  

Jamie is best known for his role as Rhythm City baddie, David Genaro. 

Speaking to The Juice Jamie confirmed that the incident occurred on Friday between 23:00 and 02:00. 

His car was hijacked and taken to Zonkizizwe township where he was "politely dropped off."

He went on to say that he was brilliantly looked after by the community and the police.

Publicist Joe Strydom added, "Jamie is fit and strong, both physically and mentally. He will be back on set before you can say knife."

News24 reported that three men pointed their firearms at him, entered his black Mercedes Benz and started beating him. The men pulled him out and stuffed him in the boot of the car. He was then dropped at an unknown location. Read the full story here

According to News24 the actor was robbed of his vehicle, a black iPhone 7, a shoulder bag and two gold rings, valued together at around R1.2m.
