Karlien van Jaarsveld lashes out over R25k phone bill

Cape Town - Karlien van Jaarsveld lashed out at mobile service provider Vodacom after receiving a bill of close to R25 000, reports Netwerk24.

The Afrikaans singer took to Facebook to question how the company could give her a bill of R24 891,64 when she's had the same contract for eight years.

"I have never had this problem. And no one knows how to sort this out? What is going on on your side," she wrote on Facebook.

Vodacom replied to Karlien's complaint with the following message: "Good day Karlien. This is not cool at all. Please drop us a mail addressed to social.media@vodacom.co.za with the subject Facebook- your name and surname. Include a copy of this posting in the body, the number in question and your contact details so that the team can look into this."

The post received hundreds of comments from other Facebook users, who've also had problems with the mobile service provider.

Talking to The Juice, Aida Steyn - Karlien's manager - said that they are in contact with Vodacom and the company has been very helpful so far, "I'm sure the problem will be resolved soon."
