More about the The Stylistics and Lenny Williams:

The Stylistics were formed in Philadelphia, PA in 1966 from two groups, The Percussions and The Monarchs. When members from each group were drafted into the American army or went on to further their education, the remaining members, under the guidance of their English teacher, Beverly Hamilton, joined forces and changed their name to The Stylistics.

Their first song, You’re a Big Girl Now, became a number one hit and the rest is golden musical history.

Lenny Williams is the ultimate soul crooner and possesses one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary music. With his rich, passionate vocal style, he is rightfully regarded as one of R&B’s most influential soul men.  Williams began his musical career making records that have subsequently become pop and R&B classics. Tunes like the mega-hit, Cause I Love You and So Very Hard To Go, have transcended into the new millennium, influencing many of today’s newest Pop and R&B vocalists. Lenny has continued his solo career touring the US, Europe and now South Africa. He has recently shared stages with Aretha Franklin, Alicia Keys, K-Jon, Anthony Hamilton, The Whispers, Rick James, Boney James, Bobby Womack, The Ohio Players, Al Green, Usher and Frankie Beverley and Maze.
