Lip Sync Battle Africa returns to e.tv

Cape Town - TV pop culture phenomenon Lip Sync Battle Africa returns to e.tv on Saturday 15 April for its second season.

Hosted by actress, presenter and model Pearl Thusi and her new Nigerian co-host, Denrele, Lip Sync Battle Africa promises to bring even more entertaining and crazy performances for viewers in its sophomore season. The first episode of this season will feature Khanyi Mbau and Nada Nakai go up against each other for the LSB winner's belt.

Denrele will take the role of 'colour commentator', adding his observations and opinion to the performances that take place on the Lip Sync Battle Africa stage. He is no stranger to the music business, having rubbed shoulders with and interviewed the likes of Akon and Beyoncé.

His unpredictability and crazy antics will have viewers entertained, on top of the outstanding performances they will witness from the contestants. Contestants in season 2 of Lip Sync Battle Africa include well-known personalities and entertainers from across the African continent who will battle it out for the prestigious LSB winner's belt.

Marlon Davids, MD of e.tv, shares his thoughts on the new season of the show: "Lip Sync Battle Africa is a one-of-a-kind show that pits our favourite celebrities and personalities against each other in a hotly contested battle for bragging rights as the LSB champion." says Davids.

Lip Sync Battle Africa will be broadcast on e.tv and eHD on OpenView HD (Channel 104) and DStv (Channel 194) at 6:05PM every Saturday from 15 April 2017.

Viewers can also watch Lip Sync Battle Africa on MTV Base on DStv (Channel 322) every Thursday at 9:30PM from 6 April 2017.
