Local female rapper hijacked and assaulted

Cape Town - Local female rapper, Rouge was violently hijacked and assaulted after a gig at Montecasino early on Friday morning.  

The David Gresham Entertainment Group confirmed reports that Rouge, one of the company's female hip-hop stars, best known for her hits Mbongo Zaka and Sheba Ngwan O was hijacked and violently assaulted.

Rouge was on the way home from a gig at Cantare, a venue at Montecasino. The attack happened at around 01:00 in Kyalami, Johannesburg.

Rouge was badly beaten during the hijacking, with severe bruising to her face, the car was stolen and later recovered. Due to the attack, Rouge has cancelled TV and live performances in Johannesburg, and Cape Town with immediate effect.

She has returned home, but is deeply traumatised by what happened unfortunately.
