Marc Lottering: I have a problem with people thinking international means success

Cape Town - Anele Mdoda – host of SABC 3’s Real Talk with Anele – recently interviewed veteran South African comedian Marc Lottering.

In the intimate sit-down Lottering talks about his upbringing, who he has worked with, and what it’s like ‘always having to smile’ when he’s out in public.

Marc also talks about what it was like not fitting in at school and how he used his ability ‘to make people happy’ as a coping mechanism to deal with it.

In the clip Marc mentions Trevor Noah and South African artists or professionals going overseas and saying that he doesn’t see international recognition as a measure for success.
