Miss SA Zozibini Tunzi visits her hometown for the first time since her win

Johannesburg – For the first time since her win on 9 August, Miss SA 2019 Zozibini Tunzi visited her hometown in the Eastern Cape.

The beauty queen, who was born in the village of Sidwadweni, was met with loud cheers as she arrived in the Eastern Cape.

The 25-year-old public relations graduate now resides on Cape Town.

"I have never in my life imagined coming home would be like this. It is indeed true that it takes a village to raise a child. Thank you kubantu bakuTsolo nase Mthatha for coming to see me at the airport. I'm forever greatful [sic]," Zozibini captioned a clip posted to Instagram.

A number of pictures of Zozibini's homecoming were also shared via the official Miss South Africa Instagram page. The organisation described the experience as "nothing short of incredible".
