Mpho Maboi tells women to 'stop being spectators' in relationships

Johannesburg – Sports presenter Mpho Maboi gave some relationship advice to fans on Wednesday, sharing a few of the things she “learnt in 36 years.”

In a slew of numbered tweets, the TV personality encouraged women to stand up for themselves.

“Here’s the saddest thing about us women and relationships. Society has made us believe that we need patience in a relationship. To a fault,” she started by saying.

In the posts that followed, Mpho spoke out against women who allow men to “dictate” their relationships.

“Stop being a spectator in your own relationship. It’s between 2 people is it not? So why are you acting like you’re waiting for a hand out?” she questioned in one tweet before sharing some of the things she has learned about over the years in another.
