MTV Shuga wants you to illustrate their comic book

Johannesburg – Calling all illustrators – MTV has the opportunity of a lifetime for you!

MTV Breaks is looking for creative illustrators and colourists to turn the award-winning series MTV Shuga into a comic book.

If you think you have what it takes, all you have to do is draw one of the MTV Shuga: Down South characters and upload your creation to Instagram with the tag #MTVShugaComicBook.

Make sure your work stands out because your entry will be judged by a panel which includes renowned artist Loyiso Mkize whose work includes the comic Supa Strikers

You must be a South African citizen between the age of 18 and 25 to enter. You also need to be available from 14 June and 29 September and should not have worked professionally as an illustrator before.

Not only will the winner’s work be part of an original MTV Shuga comic book, but the lucky contestant will also be mentored by Loyiso and will receive R5 000 towards tuition fees.
