Nomzamo Mbatha receives AMAA nomination

Johannesburg – Looks like Nomzamo Mbatha just got one step closer to that Oscar dream. The actress, who let everyone know that she’s gunning for an Oscar (read more on that here), shared the news that she was nominated for an African Movie Academy Award (AMAA) on Thursday.

After receiving a nomination in the category, Best Actress in a Leading Role, Nomzamo shared the news on Twitter with a quote, "Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life…" 

The AMAA's, sometimes referred to as, "The African Oscars", is held annually to honour excellence in the African film industry. The AMAA's will be held on 11 June in Nigeria.
