Johannesburg – While some of us may enjoy the rainy weather, others, like Nomzamo Mbatha, feel it brings a sense of gloom.
With the rain pouring outside, the actress spent Tuesday morning reflecting on her childhood.
“Rainy days like this set me back. Makes my heart ache on how far one has come… I literally used to talk to myself whilst walking in it.”
She also spoke about the promise she made to herself during those tough times. “Promising myself that one day I would have a car and not walk in the rain again. That I’d work really hard to change my narrative.”
In another tweet the star talks about how wet her school uniform and socks would be. Adding that her grandmother's house would often be flooded.
And although we can agree with one fan who pointed out how far Nomzamo has come since her rainy childhood days, she believes she still has a long way to go, saying, “I’m not proud, yet… Lot’s of more work to be done.”
