Cape Town - Employees have gathered outside Meli Lounge to pray for former Generation actor Mandla Hlatshwayo.
The 40-year-old and a friend were gunned down in Pimville, Soweto during a robbery at the pub on Sunday night. (Read the full story here.)
Following the tragic incidents tributes continue to pour in for the actor and radio DJ.
According to a bystander that lives across the road from the pub where the incident took place, she heard a woman scream and the voice of a man yelling "stop" or "whoah, whoah."
She heard about four gun shots. She went outside and she saw a body laying on the ground. And there was no one else. She went to investigate and saw that it was Mandla.
Police spokesperson Captain Hitler Mgwenya confirmed to The Juice that the victims tried to help other people in the pub who were being robbed.
Mandla's close friend remembers him as a "jolly guy" and "very helpful."
