Cape Town - Friends and family have gathered outside the home of former Generations actor Mandla Hlatshwayo in Soweto.
The 40-year-old was shot dead at a pub in Pimville near his house on Sunday evening.
Police spokesperson Captain Hitler Mgwenya confirmed that two people were shot dead at Meli Lounge at 23:00 on Sunday night. Mgwenya added that the victims tried to help other people in the pub who were being robbed.
A statement released by Shirley Pebble Nkotsi on behalf of the staff and owner of Meli Lounge, Meli Morewane, expressed condolences to the family and friends of Mandla and "Chom Chom."
