Cape Town – Local celebs celebrated the start of the festive season with Moët & Chandon, at the lighting ceremony of the Champagne Christmas tree on Thursday, 7 December in Cape Town’s Silo District.
The grand celebration saw The Mother City shine, with the first tree of its kind built in Africa.
Guests, including Siv Ngesi, Ryk Neethling, Cameron van der Burgh and Nefeli Valakelis watched as the impressive and interactive 10-meter Moët & Chandon Champagne Tree, made entirely from over 1,500 recycled Moët & Chandon champagne bottles, was brought to life during a dazzling lighting ceremony, hosted by Maps Maponyane.
You can see the one-of-a-kind Christmas tree at the V&A Waterfront this December until Wednesday, 3 January.
