Johannesburg - As Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters gets ready to hand over her Miss Universe crown to her successor, the beauty queen is enjoying her last days as the 2017 title holder.

Her final days are being spent in Thailand where the pageant will be taking place on 17 December.

While there Demi-Leigh co-hosted the Miss Universe preliminary competition where South Africans got to see Tamaryn Green take to the runway in both the swimsuit and evening wear rounds of the show.

Fans are also celebrating Demi-Leigh in the final hours of her reign, with many excitedly sharing pics from one of the stars last photo shoots as Miss Universe.

The photos, taken by popular photographer Fadil Berisha, shows Demi-Leigh draped in a gold dress with the bottom half made from gold-coloured ostrich feathers.

According to the designer, each ostrich feather was hand-sewn into the gown.

The beauty queen looks like a dream in the snaps, and fans seem to agree.
