PICS: International reality star falls in love with Cape Town

Cape Town – Sweden-born property mogul Fredrik Eklund, who stars on TV show Million Dollar Listing, has fallen in love with The Mother City.

Trevor Noah followers might recognise Fredrik from this swanky party that The Daily Show host attended with his real estate agent girlfriend, Jordyn Taylor.

Eklund, who is a New York resident is travelling through Africa with his artist husband of four years, Derek Kaplan who is of British and Zimbabwean heritage.

The couple explored Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and South Africa on holiday to celebrate Eklund’s 40th birthday.

Fredrik – who has a new reality show coming out soon called, The Bethenny and Fredrik Project with Bethenny Frankel - said in an Instagram post: “This was the best trip of my life, and I don't say that lightly.”

This was the best trip of my life, and I don't say that lightly. As we are about to split up and head back to our respective homes, I can't help but to feel so fortunate to have these amazing people by my side through life. It's a bittersweet moment. This group of family and best of friends is what it's all about for me, and traveling through Africa together was more than I could ever wish for. I mean, we saw four countries in seven days, and got to experience so much beauty. I've worked so hard to be able to take them all here to celebrate my 40th with me and Derek. Just some of the highlights were the elephants and zebras roaming free along the Zambezi river in Zambia, the thundering Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, the lions and rhino babies as well as a local wedding in Botswana, the tented camps under the stars, the Table Mountain in Cape Town and the vineyards and incredible beauty of Franschhoek. Words aren't really enough. ???? But perhaps most surprising of all are the warm, kind people everywhere, all the hugs and dancing we've experienced. It's just a very special place, actually magical.
