PICS: Local stars strip down for Marie Claire Naked Issue

WARNING: THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS NUDITY

Johannesburg – SA stars have once again stripped down for Marie Claire’s popular Naked Issue, this time with the theme of #DearBody.

As part of the campaign, celebs took the time to pen short messages to themselves that encourage body positivity. The issue includes people like Zodwa Wabantu, Nina Hastie, Tumi Morake, and Khanyi Mbau.

“#DearBody, I’m sorry for the times I’ve hated you, especially the face. You’re good to me – I mean it. You’re soft and curvy, and full of a life lived well (according to me, that is). And that is all I could ever want from you,” Zodwa’s message to herself reads.

In her note to her body, Khanyi said: “My spirit hasn’t been the easiest to house. I’ve cut you, stitched you, changed you a few times. You've felt the pain. I’ve threatened and offended you, but you’ve constantly been there. Thank you for choosing to house my spirit.”
