PICS: Thuso Mbedu joined by friends for Emmy send-off

Johannesburg – SA actress Thuso Mbedu is getting ready to take to the US for the 46th annual International Emmy Awards.

The star, who has been nominated for her second International Emmy, shared pictures from her send-off luncheon, writing on Instagram: “My word, oh my gosh, oh my word. Yesterday was one for the Memoirs. I’m truly humbled by the sincere energy and love shared by those who made it. God bless you guys. Get ready! Get ready! Get ready! [sic]”

Local stars Bohang Moeko and Nathi Moshesh were some of the guests in attendance on the day.

Thuso has been nominated in the Best Actress category for her role in local drama Is’thunzi.

The International Emmy Awards takes place on 19 November at the Hilton Hotel in New York.
