Queen Latifah and Common coming to SA

Cape Town - Queen Latifah and Common will visit Durban in July to support the call for sustained global funding to end HIV/Aids.

The Sunday Sun reported that international celebrities Queen Latifah and Common will headline the Keep The Promise benefit concert to be held at the Kingsmead Stadium in Durban on 16 July.

And guess what? It’s going to be free!

Local acts Mi Casa and Big Nuz will also be performing at the concert, with Proverb and Ayanda-Allie Paine acting as MCs for the event.

Keep the Promise 2016 is an empowering advocacy platform organised by the Aids Healthcare Foundation, partners, and CSOs to accelerate the fight against HIV/Aids.

"I am excited to be part of the Keep The Promise Concert in Durban, South Africa. It's my first time in South Africa and it feels good to be going for such a great cause," Latifah said in a statement.

You can find out out more about the event using the hashtag, #KTP2016 on Twitter.

We’re so excited to welcome Queen Latifah and Common to South Africa!
