Cape Town - The last time he made major headlines he’d just shared his controversial cover for album Reazus Christ – which showed Jesus Christ holding two very naked women – and boy did Sizwe “Reason” Moeketsi get flack for that.
News that he was dating TV presenter Luthando “Lootlove” Shosha and that he had allegedly left his wife for the tall beauty was small fry in comparison.
But despite all that Reason says he doesn’t live a controversial life.
“I don’t strive to be controversial. I don’t live a controversial life. A lot of the stuff I do is based on creativity.”
In his latest song, Top Seven, Reason talks about Lootlove who also features in the music video.
“When I’m shooting a video and I have Luthando in the video it’s less about the controversy and more about creativity.”
Coming from a music and advertising background Reasons says he takes risks and he’ll only speak about his relationship with Lootlove in his music.
“I don’t address anything personal outside of my music. If people want to know anything about me they need to buy the music. I would rather make a song about it. Top Seven is a song that speaks openly about my relationship with Luthando. I am really better at speaking in the music.”
In the song, Reason expresses his unconditional love for Lootlove and how she brings joy to his life. Listen for yourself.
