Riky Rick has changed his name

Cape Town - Local rapper and Boss Zonke hitmaker, Riky Rick has requested we all refer to him by his new name, King Kotini. 

The rapper whose real name is, Rikhado Makhado, tweeted, "KING KOTINI. I LIKE THAT." And in case you were a little confused (we sure were!) the name change was inspired by his latest single, Sidlukotini.

The rapper even changed his Twitter handle to: King Kotini. And now only refers to himself in the third person on social media.

Riky Rick is not the first rapper to change his name mid career, American rappers Snoop Dogg, P.Diddy and 2 Chainz have all done the same.
