Rocking the Daisies to host a tribute to Ray Phiri at festival

Cape Town – South African jazz musician Ray Phiri’s death, which was announced on Wednesday, has sent shockwaves through the local music industry. 

Fans have paid tribute to him on social media and now Rocking the Daisies, the flocal music festival at which Ray was due to perform later this year, has released a touching statement.  

In the statement the people behind the music gathering say that they will host tribute to the artist at the event: “We will host a tribute to Ray at this year’s Rocking the Daisies as a celebration of his life and recognition to his contribution to the music industry.”
