Cape Town - Well-known South African actress and comedian, Marion Holm, underwent major brain surgery on Monday.
Marion opened up for the first on Facebook in September about her brave battle with breast cancer. She explained that the reason for keeping it under wraps was because she didn't want "sympathy" or "attract attention." Unfortunately she had to cancel her shows due to the disease.
She went on to say that following a recent optometrists visit she was referred to a eye specialist, who discovered a meningioma. This means that a tumour is blocking a nerve and blood flow to her left eye.
"I'm endlessly thankful for God's protection. My boat is in a storm, but He won't let me sink," she said in the Facebook post.
Marion shared a beautiful Facebook post thanking everyone for their prayers and support on Monday. In the post she said that she is "at peace". And went on to say, "I don't know what's going to happen, but I know that He will carry us."
She has cancelled her performances for the next three months.
