Soapie star gets engaged!

Cape Town - Former 7de Laan actress Amalia Uys announced her happy engagement news.

"I am more than ready to take this journey on with you. My love, my best friend, my real life embodiment of love and kindness," she wrote on Instagram.

According to Huisgenoot, the star and her boyfriend of the past two and a half years, Shaun Golding, got engaged in December, but chose to keep the good news quiet.

Speaking about her husband-to-be she said, "I'm finding my heart, using my hands. You're my feet on the ground, my footprints. From where I began, I still carry your love, I feel your love."
