Social Snippet: Here's what went down at the MAMAs 2016

Johannesburg – Some of the biggest artists in Africa gathered on 22 October at the ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg to celebrate good music at the MTV Africa Music Awards. 

With just a few hours of practice, Bonang Matheba, Nomzamo Mbatha and Yemi Alade rocked the show as the hosts, standing in for comedian Trevor Noah. 

Dressed to the nines, celebs came out in their numbers to support African music. (Check out the snaps here).

Giving a killer performance, rapper Cassper Nyovest showed the crowd why he took the award for Best Live Act. While Nigerian star, Wizkid, stole the show, walking away with three awards for the night, including Artist of the Year. Check out the full list of winners here.
