SOCIAL SNIPPET: Transformers arrive in SA

Johannesburg – If you’re a fan of the Transformers franchise, then you do not want to miss out on this one!

Transformers Animatronics: The Exhibition has made it’s way to Africa for the first time. The Juice had the opportunity to get a first look at the exhibition at Emperors Palace in Johannesburg on Thursday.

What it’s about

The exhibition allows fans to get up close and personal with Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron and many other bots as well as machinery from the series. Fun for the entire family, the exhibit will be on display in Johannesburg, Centurion, and Cape Town, with tickets available from www.webtickets.co.za

Overheard

*Scupltures scaled between 2 and 11 meters in size.

*All sculptures are made from re-used car parts, metal and other repurposed material.

*A minimum of 2 500 square metres of floor space is needed over a 20-day build-up to bring the sculptures and statues to life.
