Johannesburg – On Tuesday the stars of Tropika Island of Treasure gathered for an evening of fun and laughter as they gave us a taste of what's to expect from the new season of the show.
The Juice attended the event in Hyde Park, Johannesburg, taking in all the glitz and glamour on the red carpet before having a little chat with the show's gorgeous host, Minnie Dlamini.
What it's about
Back for it's seventh season, the show once again showcases a star-studded cast who will battle it out alongside fans in the Seychelles to see who comes out tops.
Taking the reigns as host this time round is Minnie Dlamini who says fans should expect to go on an emotional journey with the contestants. "I think this season's probably going to be a lot more emotional than the others. Some of the contestants started out really shy and then really opened up throughout the show. You start seeing people that are made for television and are stars. Some people are just all about the game, and have their game faces. And of course you get to see your favourite celebrities in really tough, challenging competition moments."
Overheard
- Emtee became so close to his partner on the show that the two of them are now working on a song together.
- Fellas, expect to see host Minnie Dlamini in a bikini all the time.
- Emtee, Karlien van Jaarsveld, and Anga recorded a special song for the show. All proceeds from the song will go to the CHOC Foundation.
Tropika Island of Treasure will air on SABC 3 from 27 March at 19:30.
