Cape Town - South African veteran producer - Gabi Le Roux - started off his speech at Mandoza’s funeral on Friday by sympathising with Mandoza’s wife Mpho.
Then added some levity to the moment by saying that although he was confused for a pastor earlier in the service – he is not one – however his father was.
He went on to say he is sorry too for what his ancestors have done to black people in this land. Then he thanked God and his ancestors for letting him walk with Mandoza for twenty years.
Finally, Gabi spoke about one of Mandoza’s biggest hits, Nkalakatha, saying that it united South Africa.
