Johannesburg – South Africa’s “First Lady of Comedy”, Tumi Morake, has taken to social media to announce the news that she is now under new management.
The comedienne has signed on with talent and event management company, Blu Blood, who will take on the exclusive management of her career. “With growth comes reinvention and new ventures! I’m excited to be a part of the Blu Blood family,” says Tumi.
With a career spanning over 10 years and with numerous nominations and awards under her belt, Tumi continues to be a formidable force in the industry – a fact proven by her most recent win of Best Comedian at the 2016 YOU Spectacular Awards. Since beginning her comedy career in smoky clubs in 2006, she has steadily grown into one of SA’s most sought after comedians.
Since then this edgy star has shared the stage with the likes of David Kau, Marc Lottering, Barry Hilton and Chris Forrest and has earned her place as headliner in comedy festivals such as the Kings & Queens of Comedy.
She’s bold, she’s sassy and you simply cannot ignore her!
