Cape Town – The Lion King Musical has been running in New York on Broadway for the past 20 years.
It has made billions of dollars at the box office and is known all over the world as a must-see production.
But what a lot of people might not know is that places are reserved for South African performers in the cast of the show.
The New York Times were allowed backstage of the production and spoke to three South Africans about how The Lion King has changed their lives.
