Cape Town - Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles, and her husband, Richard Lawson, attended the Essence Festival in Durban.
"It's soo important for events like Essence Festival to come to South Africa to give the people especially women empowerment seminars, (sic)" she wrote on Instagram.
Tina, who was one of the speakers at the event, also managed to squeeze in some sightseeing with her hubby. And popped into The Oyster Box for lunch.
She called the food, "delicious" and suggests you give the garlic prawns a try.
