Cape Town - Interactive digital technology will breathe life into children’s drawings at the teamLab Future Park in the V&A Waterfront’s Watershed, from Saturday, 23 September to Wednesday, 31 January.
Fun interactive games will captivate the imagination and introduce young ones to the wonders of technology, by using scanners and sensors to make each child’s colourful drawings to burst into life in front of their eyes.
At the sketch aquarium, children can colour in fish images, scan them, and watch as they swim with other children’s fish drawings across a floor-to-ceiling digital screen wall. They will even be able to feed pet their fish creations.
The Juice visited Future Park on its opening night and loved it.
Here’s video and photos of kids enjoying the experience:
In addition to a sketch aquarium, children will also encounter a sketch town, a light ball orchestra, a colourful game of hopscotch, a town they can build with blocks, and a table where tiny little people live.
At the end of the Cape Town run, the event moves to Johannesburg in 2017. For more information, click here or visit the Computicket to buy tickets. Special family tickets are available and all activities are included in the cost.
teamLab Future Park is brought to South Africa by Huisgenoot, YOU, and Drum.
